National Equality March: Pretrip

Posted on 08 October 2009 by Zach, The Writer

I’m flying out of Atlanta with David tomorrow morning, but right now I’m trying to figure out what to wear this weekend. I’ve got comfortable walking shoes as we’re going to be doing a lot of sight (site?) seeing as well.

I’m excited about the march because it’s really another part of history. The last time there was a march on washington by LGBT people was in 2000, and I wasn’t out of the closet then. I know, I know, Barney Frank is calling the march useless and saying it won’t do anything, but I don’t think anyone is expecting the President to suddenly jump into action on our issues. The march so the nation can see us and put a face on this call for equality for LGBT Americans.
I’ll be blogging, twittering and facebooking lots of stuff so I hope you’ll read along :-)
