Brain freeze continues. Maybe it’s a weekend thing. We just finished watching cinematic masterpiece Zombie Nightmare, starring that renowned thespian Adam West. Not to worry; it was the MST3K version. Someday soon we’ll have to check out Future War (evil cyborgs and their dinosaur sidekicks leave the future to chase a runaway human slave to late-1990s Los Angeles, where the fugitive finds help in the form of prostitute-turned-nun Sister Ann) or Ring of Terror (the story of fearless medical student Lewis B. Moffit, who finds unimaginable horror when he’s tormented by a sadistic fraternity). Who’d have thought the “Watch Instantly” feature on Netflix would bring us films of such brilliance and intellectual heft?
Tom Servo is my hero.
Don’t miss ‘New Year’s Evil’ with Pinky Tuscadero as a very 80s LA punk singer trying to escape a serial killer in a high rise night club.
Well, shoot. Netflix doesn’t have that one. It’s also missing It Conquered the World, my very first experience with MST3K and one I’d love to see again. (“It’s Peter Graves. PETER GRAVES!”) I think I’ll put in a request.
