On the Other Hand

The House did manage to get something right today — it passed (again) a bill adding sexual orientation to the state’s hate crimes law.  Now we’ll see if the Senate can get around to doing the right thing.

If you’re wondering why I support this addition, see here and here.  The only thing that would make it better would be the inclusion of gender identity as well.

    Too bad that the current Governor will veto it. And even worse that Anti-Gay bigot Artur Davis may be the Dem nominee next year. He’s just as bad as Riley. Actually worse. I could conceive of Riley signing the thing. I could never imagine Davis doing anything that wasn’t hurtful to the Gay community in Alabama.
