Quick, somebody call the Secret Service

From today’s Press-Register “Sound Off” (it’s not up at al.com yet):

I see where people were wearing Barack Obama shirts that said “My president.” I’m in the military. I don’t have to see him as a commander-in-chief until it’s proven that he’s a U.S. citizen. Until then, I will see him as someone who may be a threat to national security and a clear and present danger to America.

I happen to know that they have caller ID at the Sound Off desk.

Update: they’ve got today’s Sound Off online now.

(sigh) Since they’re from our area, I’m so completely NOT surprised. I see it everywhere. It’s just ridiculous.

  2. Kathy says:

Geez. This sounds like the same assholes who refused to accept Bill Clinton as Commander-in-Chief. Jesse Helms comes to mind. Why on earth did the Press-Register print this? They’re just inciting other morons.

  3. I have news for him/her, the courts have recognized the birth certificate and the Congress has certified the results, so it is time to start saluting.

TE, there were plenty of people who never accepted Bill Clinton as CinC either, although IIRC not even the craziest wingnut ever questioned his citizenship. This kook will never accept Obama, no matter how much proof he gets. I really hope the Press-Register used that Caller ID and reported this to the Secret Service.
