My big fear is that I’ll end up with Alzheimer’s and, all inhibitions gone, will become the foul-mouthed woman that has to be isolated when other people’s grandchildren visit the Home.

Me too! My own grandchildren, should I ever be blessed with any, will have heard it all before.

My God. If anybody ever wiretaps this place…in fact, I find I’m getting worse as I age. (Even the c-word is no longer off limits in my mouth—I think Palin-rage unleashed it somehow.) I firmly believe it’s the mark of a weak intellect—and I’m a language freak—and yet, there it is.
