This Thursday evening at 7:30 there will be a candlelight vigil led by Rev. Ruth Vann Lillian. All are welcome, of course; and we're inside the City of Birmingham now. Not one, but two Knoxville congregations are in mourning--half of the victims, including Linda Kraeger, who was the second person to die, were from the Westside Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. I attended a memorial service at our local Montgomery UUC tonight. My thoughts went to all the wonderful UUC friends Ken and I have. (A few years ago Ken served as a panelist for a Divesity Conference held by the UUC in Nashville. ) I also thought of our friends at the UUC in Mountain Brook and how they hosted meetings there for Equality Alabama in its beginnings.
