Thank you, Kathy and Tony. This Thursday evening at 7:30 there will be a candlelight vigil led by Rev. Ruth Vann Lillian. All are welcome, of course; and we're inside the City of Birmingham now.

Not one, but two Knoxville congregations are in mourning--half of the victims, including Linda Kraeger, who was the second person to die, were from the Westside Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

As most of us, I was horrified by the event as well as the shooter's reasons for this attack. I attended a memorial service at our local Montgomery UUC tonight. My thoughts went to all the wonderful UUC friends Ken and I have. (A few years ago Ken served as a panelist for a Divesity Conference held by the UUC in Nashville. ) I also thought of our friends at the UUC in Mountain Brook and how they hosted meetings there for Equality Alabama in its beginnings.
My prayers are with the Knoxville congregation as they begin to heal and work through this tragegy.
