Beach pictures:

Beach and dunes from the top of the boardwalk

A blurry picture of the Gulf (sorry about that — it’s hard to tell how the pictures look when I’m outside)

Our house (or the house we rented for the week anyway — we haven’t yet traveled to the alternate universe where we could afford a beach house)

The view from the teenagers’ lair on the top floor
Damn! I grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast, but I’ve been away so many years that I forgot how beautiful it is. Thanks for the lovely reminders.
Mmmm. Lucky you!
When you enter the alternate universe where you can afford to buy that beach house, please remember your blogger friends!!
Not to worry, Jennifer — when it happens we’ll have a huge blogger party. Katharine, you can take a road trip and join us.
Beautiful! We still haven’t found a spot — everything is FULL for the week of the 4th. I may have major sand in my crack! Glad you all had fun.
Want. to. go. back. now.
LOL, Bill. Well, maybe one of us will hit the lottery someday and we can purchase a large home and share. I am counting the days/hours. Best news — WE FOUND A CONDO that even the 17 year old approves of. OMG!
Way to go Nancy! Have fun.
Yay, Nancy! That’s a piece of luck — I had a hard time finding a place for us when I made the reservation in early April. Have fun!
And I want to go back too. ASAP.
Pretty excited. Get to see the bro, sisinlaw and one of the offspring. The other will be backpacking with Boy Scouts in NM for 10 days. They are going to come and spend 4th and night with us. Mucho beer-o’s! Sisinlaw is going to see my parents next week while Bro is in Puerto Rico on business. She is the SWEETEST. SO incredibly good to my parents! I know Aunt Pat feels the same way about Bill.
