Larry Langford: It’s All Someone Else’s Fault
Tanya Ott of WBHM Public Radio interviewed Larry Langford for yesterday’s broadcast. Listen here. He spent most of his time claiming that the media is persecuting him, that other mayoral candidates have orchestrated the SEC investigation against him (despite the fact that the investigation started well before last fall’s election), and that he can do whatever he wants without regard to the opinions or votes of the city council. He was rude and condescending to Ms. Ott (stunning, I know), but she remained cool and professional throughout.
15YOD was in the car with me while the interview played, and she was singularly unimpressed. Me too.

I don’t suppose she asked him about the sackcloth?

Yeah, he was spectacularly “ass-tastic” during the part of it I heard this morning.

SY, no, she didn’t go there. Unless I missed it. Tricia, that’s an excellent description. What my mama would call “showing his fanny”.

Oh, I heard it, after I dropped the kids of from school this am. It was one of the stupidest things I ever heard and Did Langford show his you-know-what or what?! Ass-tastic is a pretty good way to describe it. He sounded very dumb with all his “now wait a minute” and double talk. I wondered if he even knew what the word “hyperbole” means when Ott suggested he was exaggerating! I honestly don’t think he did know…

I heard about the first two minutes before I got to work. He sounded like a person looking for a fight.
