Using taxpayer funds and facilities to hold a religious event at which a virulently homophobic preacher will speak, at the same time and across the street from a major arts event which attracts people from across the country as exhibitors and visitors…. what could possibly be wrong with that?

Lisa, I just heard about the preacher a bit ago. Really fits in well with the inclusion resolution the City Council passed last year, doesn’t it? Bishop Eddie Long, as well as being a big ol’ homophobe, is the subject of a Senate investigation for preaching the “prosperity gospel” that allows him to live high on his congregation’s money. He sounds like a perfect fit for Larry.

That sermon is whack, as the young people say, or have probably stopped saying by now. Blood (ahem) = Covenant? And he’s supposed to be a deep thinker. Sounds more like a deep drinker to me.
