You pay the top column-inch rate on newspaper ads - no discounts for volume. You pay the top rate for radio and TV. Plus you have to pay in advance. McCain is, after all, Mr. Campaign Finance Reform, although that hasn't stopped him from <a href="http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/mccain-told-he-must-take-public-money/?scp=2-b&sq=mccain+public+financing+loans&st=nyt" rel="nofollow">trying to renege</a> on his acceptance of public financing and the strings that go with it. What a cluster f*ck, or rather a single f*ckup. McCain needs to pay full freight for whatever it was supposed to be RIGHT AWAY, plus maybe a little extra for the inmate rehab fund or something. What incredibly poor judgment---he let his job as mayor go to his head a little, I guess. Swanking it.
