Wish I could go but I have to take the Brownie’s ice skating. Grrr. Wave a flag for me!

  2. Kathy says:

    I missed today’s event — play rehearsal.

I just read that there were 11,000 people there. Is that true? That’s a huge number for a primary event in ‘Bama, isn’t it?

  4. Kathy says:

KathyF, the Birmingham News reports 11,000+. My experience with the News is that they tend to underreport crowd sizes, so what you read is likely accurate. Yes, that is a huge turnout for a primary event. Mike Huckabee was here Saturday, and he only drew around 2,200. I wish I thought that would stop people from believing everyone in the South is a redneck Bible-beater, but I’m not holding my breath.
