Breaking: Bloggers Meet F2F — World Doesn’t End
Co-blogger Del made a trek to Birmingham today, and we finally met for real. We spent a couple of hours chatting over margaritas and chips, and she’s just as delightful and funny in person as she is on the blog and in our frequent email exchanges.
One of the coolest things about the Intertubes is meeting — online and f2f — people I never would have known otherwise. It’s a small world, and I’m glad I get to share it with so many talented, intelligent, and downright fun people.

WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!?! If I knew two bloggers were meeting in state, I would have stayed indoors just in case. You people play with fire too often! One of these days the planet is going to blow up because of all your F2F meetings.

We thought it would be better not to cause a panic ahead of time.
Next time I’ll raise the threat color to orange, or something.

It’s a good thing you didn’t call me, or global warming would have ensued for sure!!! Want to meet me and Blue Momma on Monday for breakfast?? We are meeting F2F for the first time!

A bit of self pity: The only two bloggers (if you count a guest blogger) I’ve ever met F2F are Loretta Nall and Mike Ball. They both put everything pretty much “out front”.

We really should have a big blogger and reader meetup sometime soon. That’s not me volunteering to organize it, but it would be great fun.

Well, it sure sounded like you volunteering to organize it.
Thanks, Kathy. I thought you were delightful and funny, TOO.

Absolutely! I’ve been wanting to meet that really amusing and squirrel-fearing Jennifer for a long time to give her a bag of my nuts ……make that acorns to feed to her squirrels.

Sounds like fun. I’m still hoping you can make it out to SF sometime.
