Okay, yesterday turned out to be tubing down a very lazy (and not the Nolichucky) river. Sounds restful, but the low water level and slow current meant lots of paddling. Very pretty scenery, four ducks, and three snakes later, we made it back to the momvan and came back to the hotel, tired and starving for food and sleep and lots of Advil.
Today’s shopping. Woohoo!
Ok that does not sound too relaxing. Might I suggest tubing down the lazy river at Alabama Adventure? No snakes, altho Teensy did find a condom the last time she floated down it.
Ewww! I think I’d prefer snakes. Or maybe not. At least all the chemicals they dump in the water at AL Adventure would kill anything that remained on the condom.
Not only did we see snakes, one wrapped itself around Zach’s hand as he was floating under a low bridge. Then his bf caught a little snake and held it up for us to admire. We didn’t try to catch the big one we saw swimming by. The water was full of plant life, which we were told made a great hiding place for leeches. We didn’t see any leeches, but we did see lots of snails.
Some of us had fun….
