Gonzo’s Homework Assignment Isn’t Finished

Arlen Specter says he still hasn’t received a promised letter from Gonzales that was to answer questions about the AG’s testimony.  I wonder if he’ll take off points for the late work.

  1. thanks for keeping up on this. I wondered what had happened today.

    “I will not tell lies.”

Wish Umbrage was around to enforce that.

    Gonzo is in deep bandini.

His refusal to step-down is becoming a burdensome albatross on the entire DoJ and the situation has become untenable.

The status quo can’t be allowed to continue. Since the Mofo from Midland stole the 2000 election, many Federal agencies and departments have suffered greatly; Interior, Education; NIH; EPA; CIA; and DoJ.

Of course, the best solution is to compel Speaker Nancy “impeachment is off the table” Pelosi to hand the Gavel to someone with balls, like Henry Waxman, and let him order the Articles of Impeachment for both Bush and Cheney. But unfortunately, I don’t see her stepping down as Speaker.

Her ego and her agenda are as huge as Hillary’s.

They’re not suffering to those in power. And since the average American attention span is so short, the finely-honed tool of obfuscation – I don’t know – along with its many variants, is doing an excellent job of having those people say “that’s just Congress being Congress” before they change the channel in search of something with shiny objects.

Man, I’m going to end up drinking at work. :)

Christopher, I’d like to see them impeached, too, but the votes just aren’t there. And unfortunately a failed effort would be portrayed as political theater rather than an attempt to take back our government. Part of me thinks it would be worth it if the proceedings hamstrung the administration till January 2009, but I’m not even sure that would happen.

Randal, I know what you mean about the drinking. I sometimes wish I was as blissfully ignorant as the average American.

KathyF, that’s cold. :) MWT, I’m depending on the folks at TPM Muckraker (and sitting in front of the TV way too much — my 14YO is still recovering from wisdom teeth surgery, and I’m watching her like a hawk).
