Her birthday was yesterday, but we were running so hard — buying the gift at the last minute, getting ready for the party — that I didn’t have time to post. We took her, along with several friends, to the Crawfish Boil. It’s a low-rent version of City Stages, Birmingham’s big-time music festival. And it’s primarily lacking in one important feature: shade. We sat out in the middle of a big vacant lot in downtown and sweltered till sunset.
Fun was had by all, even the sweaty parents. Happy Birthday, 14YOD! We’re glad you were born.
