Blog Silence for a While
The Big Dog is in Birmingham tonight for a Democratic Party fundraiser, and we’re heading out shortly. I hope I’ll be allowed to take in my voice recorder and camera. It’s a cinch I won’t get kicked out for my bumper stickers. ![]()

well????? I’m sorry, I know your child is sick (I hope she feels better and the rest of you don’t get it!) but I’m dying to hear about last night!!

Chris, it’s calm around here right now — no one sick at the moment. My fingers are crossed!
Last night was great! There was a huge crowd; the banquet room was originally set up to hold 1500, and after the organizers added as many seats as they could, they still had to turn people away. Clinton’s speech was full of hope and some real common sense prescriptions to get the country moving forward again — not just Democratic partisans, but everyone. I left there feeling positive about the future.
I’ll get up a complete post soon. I tried to tape the speech but ended up changing batteries partway through, so my recording isn’t complete.

President Clinton’s sppech was videotaped and I understand that it will be shown at an upcoming meeting of the Over The Mountain Democrats (http://www.otmdems.org) for those that couldn’t make it Friday night.
