The Plot Thickens, Indeed

I was going to write a post about the growing scandal surrounding the firings of eight US attorneys, but Shakespeare’s Sister and Miss Wild Thing were kind enough to do it for me, so go read.  Bushco philosophy in a nutshell: if your political appointees turn out to have backbones, as well as job skills, use the “Patriot” Act to get rid of them and replace them with people who will bend over for you.

I do love a Democratic congress with subpoena power — power used to investigate real corruption, not blowjobs.
