This Must Sting

Bob Geiger has a graphic showing Bush’s current approval/disapproval ratings compared to those of Reagan and Clinton at the same point in their second terms.  It ain’t pretty:

Of course, we all know The Decider doesn’t care about public opinion, but the people seeking the 2008 Republican nomination can’t be enjoying this.

    Well, sure…but he’s still more popular than Nixon. ;-)

    Seriously, though–I go by the Fairbanks standard. When your disapproval numbers subtracted from your approval numbers give a result that looks like January temperatures in Fairbanks, it’s time to pack it in. ;-)

    I also liked the part in the poll data that said only 17% of Americans thought the Democrats had a plan for Iraq. I wonder why that wasn’t highlighted?
