Remember all those BARD campaign contributions to Jefferson County commissioners right before the September 19 vote for the BARD floodplain ordinance (instead of the award-winning one written by the County Land Planning Department)? Gee, a look-see at King's campaign finance reports turns up $4,000 from Highland PAC and $1,000 from BES PAC on 8-29-06. Both of these PACs are run by BARD spokesman Stephen Bradley. US Steel made two contributions to King in August, and Coalbed Methane Association contributed $2,000 on 8-29-06. Gee, do you suppose these BARD contributions and Ala Power's gift of skybox seats to a Braves' game had anything to do with the attorney general providing a ruling for Jeffco commissioner Mary Buckelew that gave the green light to the BARD ordinance that contractors and developers wanted so badly??

Well, it's not really even complete. But it's everything I could find at the time. I seem to remember 2 other opinions that were highly controversial, but I can't remember what they were.

And I'll probably add another one after the courts hears a case this month about Troy's opinion on the AU trustee board appointments.
