My brother and I finally talked my mother into buying a new computer. Her old one had all manner of problems, likely caused by viruses that we couldn’t detect because we couldn’t install antivirus software — because of a virus. And to make it even better, she got DSL!
So no more blogging from dialup here. We’ve finally made it into the 21st century. Woohoo!
Did you install Microsoft Office by chance?
There’s a trial version that ought to be good for at least 60 days.
You should install openoffice.org on it! Just as good as Microsoft and FREE!!!
Ohhh, and congrats on your momma getting a new computer. That way, when you’re down there, you can still entertain us!
Ka’Dield, you’re a sweetie! I’ll check out openoffice.org. We need Microsoft Office so Dear Husband can work while we’re in Georgia, but I wouldn’t mind having something else. Fight the power, and all that.
