Thanks for the add Kathy. I just finished a new post about Saul. He had a minor freak out this morning and about scared me out of my skin. The verdict is in and he does NOT like cats.
Uh oh. He’d never make it at my house — my cats think every dog should love them, and they tend to stalk any dog that shows fear.
When I was a kid I had a neighbor who owned a white German Shepherd and my tom cat used to chase him around the yard. It was the funniest thing. I’m not so sure Saul will ever be friends with the cats. He found the bedding that they like to lay on outside and he attacked it. He ripped, scratched, tore, pulled and otherwise tried to destroy it. I can tell that part of socializing is going to take some work.
He learned something new yesterday all on his own. Since it rained yesterday I had to wear my sweater outside. Now when Saul wants to go out he goes to wherever I left my sweater and yips. He is really an amazing animal with very good breeding.
He’s a smart dog! My Prissy is bright, too, but she is also stubborn as a little 20-pound mule. Maybe she needs to hang around with Saul for a while.
