Hobnobbing With People In High Places

My letter to the editor regarding poll workers’ complaints about counting write-in votes was published today in the Birmingham News, right below Loretta Nall’s on the same subject.  Cool

UPDATE:  Don’s letter was printed in the Tuscaloosa News.  Keep up the public activism, guys  – it makes a difference.

It was a very cool double whammy from a newspaper that doesn’t do very many cool things in my book. Thanks Kathy for taking the time to write and send it. The “suck it up and count the votes” line cracks me up every time I read it.

Thanks to everyone else who has written letters as well….with any luck they will print them also.

Is that what I’ve been doin’ for the last 3 years – hobnobbing with people in high places? Dang, I thought I was just pestering editors with my letters, most of which they probably auto-delete when they see who they are from, but I’ve been lucky and had several published. One is in today’s Tuscaloosa News @ http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061127/NEWS/611270304/1028/EDITORIAL3.

I think Ben Windham sorta’ likes me but they published a typo in the last paragraph instead of correcting it for me.

  4. Don, remind me to teach you how to do a proper reference tag someday… :)

Cool redux, Don!  I’ll add your link to the post.

AM, I’m technically challenged and a slow learner, so maybe you should email detailed instructions to me so I can keep it on file for future reference. While you’re at it, tell me how to post that little smiley “thingy”, too. I would send one back atcha’ if I knew how.
