    Well, the fact that no one else has bothered to comment on this post might be part of the problem. Some day, we Americans are going to wake up and say, “What happened to our freedom?” This basic concept that the government does not lock you up without charges, a trial and due process has been thrown out the window. Where the devil is our anger over this? Even my high school senior son said, “I’m ashamed. We deserve to be attacked again.” I reassured him it would probably be overturned on appeal. Why do I now question that idea?

    Sheila, I think there should be demonstrations in the street, but as Jonathan Turley says, our citizens have turned into constitutional couch potatoes. What will it take to wake up the average person?
