Don, you should come on down for tomorrow's meeting. If nothing else, it will be entertaining.

Speak of a circular firing squad! Perhaps Saturday someone will say they should stop firing at will – at the will of the voters of HD 54. What this really makes me think about is when Will Rogers said, “I belong to no organized party. I am a Democrat.”

[...] Are you horrified by yesterday’s subcommittee ruling? Are you wondering what you can do about it? If you live in the area, come to Montgomery for the State Democratic Executive Committee meeting tomorrow at 10 am at the Embassy Suites (click here for map). If you can’t come to the meeting, contact state party chair Joe Turnham, and let him know you agree with his assessment. And if you have a few dollars to spare, make a donation to the Victory Fund to help pay for Patricia’s legal challenge.
I wonder if this 1974 Party rule was approved the Justice Department under section 5 of voting rights act. This section states you have to have pre-clearance to make any changes to the voting process. Could definitely be the next step for either attorney?

I posted this over at my blog and on Loretta's, and I am curious to know about it. I am going to try and give the DOJ a call in the morning to see if it was.
