Israel Plans To Push Nearly 20 Miles Into Lebanon

Israel says today it wants to push to the Litani River, nearly 20 miles into Lebanon, in order to clear the area of Hezbollah fighters and secure it for a multinational force. I’m interested to know where the troops for that force will come from; last I heard there weren’t many volunteers.

This whole situation is heart-wrenching, isn’t it?

It is. And I can’t see a good end in sight.

When John Stewart is the only person proposing a solution that sounds sensible, and I’m not minimizing his intelligence since we went to the same college(!), we are in big, big trouble.

    John Stewart for president!

It doesn’t say much for our leadership that one of the few voices of reason is the host of a fake news show on a comedy channel. And, like you, Songbird, I think he’s quite intelligent. I’m just wondering where all the rest of the smart people are. Maybe he should run for president.

  7. Songbird Says:

    Or better yet: Stewart/Franken.
