Tony Snow Accepts Transfer To the White House
Hiring a Fox News commentator is supposed to improve Bush’s approval ratings. At least he’ll likely be smoother at the spin than poor Scottie McClellan. He’s had lots of practice.
I think it’s funny that his very occasional criticism of the Bush administration is supposed to make him more trustworthy.
Unofficially, the White House tried to put the best face on Snow’s criticism, suggesting it showed that the administration listens to different voices and noting that Snow’s job called for him to be opinionated.
The administration listens to different voices? Since when? Since Bush’s approval rating dropped to 32%? Since his “my way or the highway” approach started alienating even his strongest supporters? So now we’re supposed to believe that things have changed because Bush dumped his old press secretary for someone who’s better at catapulting the propaganda?
I’m afraid Tony Snow’s style isn’t going to convince me that Bush has changed his substance.

Does this mean that we must now watch for our weather forecasts to come from the White House press room……Snow jobs?

Indeed.
